What a wonderful day we had at our Olympic themed sports day!

This is a tradition of ours that sadly we haven't done since 2016 due to the Covid lockdown but every Olympic year we change our sports day slightly to give the children a feel of what the Olympics could be like, hopefully every child will get to experience this event once in their four years with us.

The whole school travelled to Braunton Athletics Track and we had an opening lap, got started with the field and track events, finishing up with a medal presentation, and then of course the final lap of honour by the winning house group Saturn!! Well done team Saturn, who get themselves a non-uniform day on Monday 15th July.

A big thank you to Mr Turner who has worked so hard on organising this, to all of those that were able to make a financial contribution to help cover the cost of the transport coaches and to those that were able to come along and cheer on the children.

Maybe the day has inspired some budding athletes, so let's look out for them in the future!
