Three members of staff and 16 of our upper school pupils are spending the week in Germany for an educational and cultural journey, this was a special trip as it marked the first exchange with our new friends at Evangelische Grundschule Potsdam. During our visit, we had the privilege of learning about their community and culture, and we formed lasting friendships. We shared our own information booklets about our own lives.

We travelled on a tram and visited the Brandenburg Gate, the Bundestag, The Berlin Wall, the Holocaust memorial.  Mrs Bater & Mrs Rigler taught an English lesson and even our pupils did some teaching too, we also received some teaching too including a wonderful art lesson.

We took part in a Collective Worship in the local Church and later the children went to spend time with their host families, which was a truly cultural experience.

All the children enjoyed their learning and team building but also the friendships they made and memories that will last a lifetime.

A big well done to all the team for arranging and leading this trip and to our pupils who were an absolute joy.
